Growing healthcare/insurance services company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate executive team. The Senior Accountant will assist in executing its growth strategy by overseeing finance, accounting and reporting activities.

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting function at the Company and will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of all accounting related activities. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the executive leadership team and will oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities:

*  Strong command of GAAP reporting with the ability to manage a general ledger and take ownership over all journal entries

*  Strong background and knowledge of the preparation of monthly financial statements and cash management procedures

*  Knowledge of working within and/or implementing an accounting software system

*  Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, receivables, payables and capital expenditures

*  Assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks

*  Implement and oversee internal controls, policies and procedures

*  Interface with outside auditors and be an internal leader of annual audit activity

Position Qualifications:

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with at least four or five years of experience in public accounting or in the accounting group of a service-based business to join an entrepreneurial environment and assist in the establishment of a solid accounting function for a high-growth company. Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:

*  Minimum of 4-5 years of experience with a public accounting firm or as an internal accountant within a company

*  Experience managing a general ledger, reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and other accounting related activities and coordinating audit activities

*  Experience assisting with budget development and analysis

*  Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to be a proactive member of a small senior management team

*  BA/BS degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university

*  CPA preferred but not required

*  Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and ability to perform financial analysis
