Senior Accountant - Finance at Rehoboth Mckinley Christian Health Care Services, in Gallup, NM

Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant performs a variety of professional accounting duties such as monitoring various general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries and financial reports and analyses, reviewing budgeted versus actual performance, preparing various reconciliations, capitalizing and depreciating assets and conducting special analyses and projects as assigned. Acts as a resource in the resolution of complex accounting problems.

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business degree required.

Masters Preferred.

Experience:

Five (5) years accounting experience required, with three (3) years in a hospital setting preferred.

Ability to balance figures, compile statistics, input data into computer programs, research information and use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analyzes.

Ability to utilize an adding machine, calculator and personal computer.

Must be able to work independently and to meet strict project deadlines.
