Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant isresponsible for performing senior levelaccountant managementreporting andfinancial tasks for Dignity Health entities migrated to Lawson. The position works in acooperative team environment to provide value tointernal and external customers. This position contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of the generalledger policies and procedures, which includes generalledger journal entries, account reconciliation, account analyses, andfinancial reporting. The Senior Accountant continually seeks to understand and act upon customer needs, concerns, and priorities and meets customer expectations and requirements, and gains customer trust and respect. This positionworks with the GeneralAccounting Manager to receive feedback on performance, and create and manage a personal developmental plan.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accountingrequired
  • Six plus years of experience accounting experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of current general ledger applications in a healthcare environment, or Lawson experiencerequired
  • Self-directed and requires minimal supervision
  • Leadership skills/some supervisory experiencerequired
  • Able to handle a broad scope of responsibility, utilizing independent problem solving skills
  • Strong customer services skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree, CPA or hospital operations experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with providing visible sponsorship and guidance of major change initiatives preferred
