Summary: The Senior Accountant, working under the direction of the Manager of Corporate Accounting, will have responsibility for the corporate accounting activities, including preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, general ledger maintenance and reporting.
Compile and analyze financial information to complete the monthly accounting close (i.e., analyze prepaid expenses for correct amortization period).
Preparation of OCI and Equity Statement roll-forward.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation, investigate and resolve reconciling items timely.
Prepare, review and enter journal entries.
Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Ability to research/address complex business transactions and propose appropriate accounting.
Conduct balance sheet analytics and prepare robust commentary explaining variances.
B.S. - Accounting
Minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant experience (recent senior accountantexperiencepreferred)
Peoplesoft or similar ERP experience; proficient Excel user
Detail oriented with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems
Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently
