  • We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to work in our Charleston, SC Headquarters.   • Specific Accountabilities:

  • Leading and participating in the Consolidated Financial Close Process
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement solutions
  • Critically analyze financial information for accuracy and reasonableness, including information included in the Company's financial reports filed with the SEC (10-Q, 10-K, proxy, registration statements)
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Corporate Financial Statements, including analytical reviews and account reconciliations for complex and judgmental accounts
  • Assist with the interpretation, understanding and documentation of Accounting Policies and Procedures
  • Analyze financial information, including changes to balance sheet and income statement accounts based on business operations
  • Develop People by providing instruction, unique experiences, and challenging projects to members of the team, enabling team members to enhance their leadership, communication and accounting skills and further their careers
  • Assist in providing oversight, guidance and training on technical accounting matters to various functional groups across the Company
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and sales organizations to provide ongoing accounting support
  • Develop, maintain, and administer financial and operational policies to support strong internal controls
  • Assist in determining the impact of new accounting pronouncements on reporting requirements and business practices
  • Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's Degree and CPA preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant, progressive experience; public accounting experience required. Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred
  • Hands-on financial professional possessing outstanding technical and analytical skills; internal control experience essential
  • Exhibits professional presence in interactions with executive management and possesses presentation and communication skills; must be able to deal with ambiguity but relay information clearly and concisely
  • System experience with Workday, SAP, Hyperion,, and Blackline is preferred
  • Essential Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, software industry experience (e.g. ASC 606) and lease accounting (e.g. ASC 842) a plus and the ability to apply relevant guidance to complex transactions
  • Well organized, detail oriented team player with proven ability to multitask effectively and work independently
  • Able to prepare written communications that articulate messages concisely and accurately
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including the ability to critically think and present new or creative solutions
  • Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
  • Experience in researching, developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and familiarity with multi-country, global business issues and consolidation systems and processes
