Edelman Chicago has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media to join our Consumer/Brand Team supporting agriculture, commodities and CPG food accounts. The ideal candidate is an experienced media relations professional with a passion for storytelling who understands what it takes to break through in a constantly evolving news cycle. They are creative and collaborative, an avid consumer of the media, follow the latest trends and can adapt in real time.
Candidates should have an existing network of media contacts, the ability to craft stories reporters will view as newsworthy, and an ability to create integrated earned media strategies that will resonate across platforms and diverse media channels. Ideal applicants have experience, and confidence, in counseling clients and executives on effective earned media strategies. They are able to adapt quickly and partner with colleagues in other departments (account teams, creative, influencer, paid, etc.) to develop and execute multichannel media strategies.
The position also requires the ability to effectively project manage, delegate, and oversee a large volume of short-term and longer-term/complex assignments on accounts. All candidates should have experience coaching junior team members and will likely manage direct report(s) and support their career development.
