The Senior Account Executive, Specialty Solutions is responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from prospect through to the final acquisition of new business, as well as managing and growing existing accounts. This strategic role will work to develop business focused in the government sector at city, county, state, and federal levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a strong pipeline for company's products and services in order to increase revenue
  • Provide accurate pipeline, sales forecasts, and ensure accounts are updated for management review
  • Navigate effectively through long sales cycles with detailed RFP processes
  • Assist in development and implementation of marketing materials and programs to sell our software and solutions as necessary
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Provide market and customer feedback on products and services to product management and development
  • Attend teleconference, industry tradeshows and location meetings as requested by management
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas and the objectives of employment
  • Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences and trade shows, as required
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Be highly adept at working and communicating with executive level personnel as well as Boards of Directors
  • This position requires minimum of 50% domestic travel

EDUCATION/ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or related field
  • 5-7 years or more of successful national sales experience selling within the government sector
  • Must have prior experiencing selling technology products in a long sales cycle
  • Must be sound in basic sales principles such as lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation and closure
  • Must have an understanding of sales strategies using consultative selling and relationship-building techniques
  • Must have strong presentation skills, an assertive, engaging personality, and a demonstrated record of generating results
  • Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented and be able to function remotely with little direction
  • Highly ethical and disciplined professionalism
  • Team player who can motivate and encourage the best from others
  • Must be able to demonstrate outstanding customer relationships
  • Must have the ability to understand technical products
  • Use a computer for administrative needs along with a CRM system
  • Must be comfortable with and have a proven record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
  • Background in software sales, property management industry and accounting strongly preferred
