Develop and maintain partnering relationships with both new and existing clients.
Strategically identify, qualify, and inspire clients to select Ameresco to develop the following project types; Energy Savings Performance Contracts, Design-Build Mechanical Retrofits, Applied Technology Solutions (i.e. Smart Cities, Solar, Battery Energy Storage etc.);
Formulate successful strategies to increase client engagement activities and ensure annual sales goals are attained;
Successfully lead, organize, strategically position, winning proposals and presentations;
Participate in industry and trade association activities in key geographic and /or vertical markets;
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of and drive the entire sales process;
Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of all solution offerings as well as energy related market developments;
Coordinate and interface with internal Project Development, Project Management and Post Contract Client Care teams;
Report of Sales Process cadences and perform other duties as required supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree or 8 years commensurate experience plus active progress toward industry-related education preferred.
Proven track record of selling technically and financially complex offerings to C-suite decision makers.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
MBA with emphasis in marketing, finance, energy or sustainability
Progressive experience selling; ESPC, design build retrofits, smart city solutions, demand side management, solar, bio-mass, or other renewable technology solutions within the above identified markets;
Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation skills, including effective negotiation and closing techniques.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive internal / external business relationships.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
