JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage projects and day-to-day communications for an assigned set of Idea Grove clients, under your Account Director, translating the needs of your accounts into specific deliverables for internal and external production teams. Respond to any client concerns within 4 hours and any typical requests within 12-24 depending on the time the client communicates the request.

Collaborate with the production team and your Account Director on monthly / quarterly strategies for each of your accounts. Present the strategies to your clients and secure their sign-off, facilitating an evolving retainer process. Turn these monthly plans into statements of work that fit staff hours within the account’s budget.

Create and assign tasks in our project management system, working closely with the production team to understand and communicate timelines back to the client. Manage client expectations and track hours, communicating burn rate of projects both internally and externally.

Monitor your accounts’ agreements and produce work orders as needed to secure agency resources on behalf of your clients. Watch for contract terms and renewal periods to help the agency maintain revenues.

Manage Account Executives and Account Coordinators as required by leadership in support of various accounts, including yours and other account leads’ clients.

Participate in internal agency projects, marketing and new business efforts, trainings and other efforts at the direction of your Account Director.

Required skills and experience include:

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience for brands or agencies
  • 3+ years of social media management experience for brands or agencies
  • 2+ years account management experience at a digital marketing agency
  • 2+ years managing budgets and hours for accounts at a digital marketing agency
  • Experience working with creative teams to produce assets for marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with design and development teams to produce websites
  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing concepts
  • Experience writing copy for social media and blog posts


Ideal skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or other relevant field
  • Experience with HubSpot marketing automation tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with Facebook or LinkedIn social ads
  • Familiarity with online project management tools
