The selling position spends time in the field and on the phone prospecting for and closing new business customer opportunities for Consolidated. Understands, and is able to sell, the entire Consolidated Broadband business product line, including voice, data, Internet, advanced TV, hosted phone systems, and Data Center / Disaster Recovery Services.
Responds to customer and prospective customer needs and requirements. Has responsibility for revenue generation, through quotas specified in the Sales and Compensation plan.
Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly prospecting and funnel management activity through use of Company provided on-line CRM application.
Demonstrates products and services at trade shows and chamber events located at various sites in the metropolitan area and is expected to act as public representative for the Company at these events. Partner with the industry vendor community.
Must be familiar with various communication services and products, including Hosted Phone Systems, IPBX, and broadband network services.
Aptitude for learning.
Must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees, and an ability to sell the Company's products and services.
Strong communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, energetic, organized, and hardworking.
Minimum typing speed of 40 W.P.M.
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 3 - 5 yrs telecommunications, cable or directory sales experience.
