PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform commercial and government market business development including:
  • Routine calls/meetings with clients to identify work opportunities
  • Developing/delivering effective marketing presentations
  • Obtain bid/proposal opportunities
  • Assume lead and senior supporting roles in writing and pricing proposals
  • Assume lead management and/or technical role for projects and/or programs
  • Maintain a balance of sales and utilization to support office business objectives and success (utilization goal will depend upon sales volume)
  • Provide senior-level technical input to projects (biological or natural resources data or reports, proposal writing, financial project development, etc.)
  • Provide leadership for marketing and executing projects
  • Organize and manage project teams in the execution of all project aspects
  • Represent client in discussions with regulatory agencies

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, environmental science, sustainability, or relevant program required
  • Master’s degree (MS/MA), PhD or PE is a plus
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years directly related experience in a Seller – Doer and execution role required
  • Strong relationships with government agencies are essential
  • Ability to provide a great customer experience from development through execution of a project

  • General computer, word processing, and spreadsheet capabilities are required including MS Office Word, Excel, Project, etc.; advanced skills desired
  • Current possession of professional licenses/registrations desired
  • Experience in the renewable energy and energy transmission sectors
  • Knowledge and application of natural resource assessments
  • Experience permitting energy projects
  • Experience successfully negotiating agency consultations
