Job Summary

Provide oversight and leadership relative to the execution of 3rd party security review programs, compliance verification against Apple policy and standards, the performance of physical testing as well as logical testing modeled after real world attackers (i.e., exploit and pivot). Execution scope initially spans information security as it pertains to Americas based physical locations. This includes everything from Apple internal sites as well as dedicated, 3rd party partner environments. Work cross-functionally with Apple’s corporate Information Security team, key Apple internal business teams, and a broad range of Apple Information Systems and Technology functions to ensure the successful completion of necessary Info Sec consulting services, due diligence review, 3rd party risk assessments and vulnerability mitigations and remediations. Cross functional collaboration is a key to success.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience conducting system assessments over diverse environments
  • Experience conducting physical security assessments
  • Proficiency in either Mac OS X and/or other flavors of UNIX
  • Ability to understand and explain basic networking concepts (routing, ACL, load balancers, SSL/TLS, TCP) in order to provide necessary feedback
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Passion for discovering and researching new and emerging technologies in the space of Information Security
  • Ability to adapt quickly and adjust priorities as needed

Description

Help drive the vendor security program awareness by developing relations with the different Apple Business groups and various, internal I.T. functions. Engage and maintain oversight of securityarchitecture reviews impacting Americas based internal and 3rd party environments connecting to Apple. Partner with Apple Information Security to influence development of tactical and strategic roadmaps to align security, privacy and compliance requirements integrating Apples business needs and objectives. Triage any dated vulnerabilities and ensure immediate and effective levels of participation to remediate stated vulnerability. Maintain oversight, and routinely assist with, active physical and logical security assessments targeting critical Apple data, services, and 3rd party environments.

Track underlying security issues and ensure they are adequately being remediated and, if necessary, propose enhanced security protections. Other responsibilities include: Provide executive status reports and general broad based status updates to disparate teams. Maintain dotted line reporting relationship to Apple Information Security organization.

EDUCATION

BA/BS degree or 7+ years of equivalent, hands-on Information Technologyexperience in multiple large enterprise environments a plus.
