The Senior Manager (CloudOps) will lead steady-state activities utilising previous experience in service delivery management of operations support for hosted applications. They will work in collaboration with Global Services and other teams within our client organisation, as well as participating in pre-sales and business development efforts, preparing and providing support for proposals and presentation decks. They will manage the transition/mitigation projects from kick off through to delivery. In addition, they will deliver transitions/migrations within schedule, scope and budget utilising agile project manager approaches. The Senior Manager (CloudOps) will also monitor project dates, tasks, hours spend, risks, blockers and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and identify any scope changes from the original plan/agreement and escalates to the management team. They will work in collaboration with Tech Leads and Directors to ensure project success. The role will be based in either Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY.
The ideal candidate will come from a background in Cloud Ops Transformation and will be comfortable understanding technical aspects of a transformation. 5+ years of experience in managing transition, transformation and/or migration to public cloud would be preferred (ideally using migration tools and technologies). They will be comfortable with managing several projects and have experience of AWS and Azure Cloud. An AWS certification (or equivalent) would be beneficial. It would be preferable if the candidate had experience of working with a provider for managed services; including cybersecurity and enterprise cloud solutions as well as consulting services that include application development and database engineering/architecture services. A good understanding of the ITIL/ITSM processes would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will be based in either Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY.
