This position is for a future placed Facility Security Officer.
Will be performing all security related responsibilities including Security Clearance processing, Security Training and Briefings, Classifications and Markings, Safeguarding Classified Information, Visits and Meetings, Subcontracting, Information System Security, COMSEC, OPSEC International Security Requirements, Special Requirements and ITAR export control.
Familiarity with the National IndustrialSecurity Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and familiarity with Defense Security Service (DSS) Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA’s) is required.
Responsible for making recommendations for enhancing data systems security. Lead the research of attempted breaches of data security as well as rectifying identified security weaknesses.
Formulate security policies and procedures. Leading multiple projects related to facility security. Should be a disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a security field or a Bachelor’s degree in a business/security related field and 4 years of experience in security.
- working knowledge and experience with the National IndustrialSecurity Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to ensure familiarity with all aspects of security related processes and procedures including DSS SVA’s, Security Clearances, Security Training and Briefings, Classifications and Markings, Safeguarding Classified Information, Visits and Meetings, Subcontracting, Information System Security, COMSEC, OPSEC International Security Requirements, Special Requirements and ITAR export control.
Have demonstrated experience knowledge of Government Security including DD254s Security Classification, reviews, Trusted Associate Sponsorship System (TASS)/or previous Contractor Verification System (CVS) for Contractor Common Access Card (CAC) registration requests.
-Required to be a certified FSO and may include IndustrialSecurity Professional (ISP) or DSS certificates or equivalent certification. Should be eligible for a Top Secret clearance

- Technology, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
