Job Purpose:

  • Support the data collection and analytics strategy and coordinate cross functional teams to design and develop solutions for collecting and analyzing data to protect Mars' information assets
  • Meet the needs of the larger business using the latest in Big Data platforms and Machine Learning techniques.
  • This role is a deep technical subject matter expert that can determine the proper course of action in the event of a security incident
  • This is a global role that requires context of how Mars, Inc and all legal entities operate so that technology choices support Business objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend roadmaps for focus areas within security & information technology
  • Maintain and implement data collection standards
  • Inform and implement designs for global security & information technology
  • Assist in implementation of major technologies for Mars, Inc
  • Provide non-line management direction for team supporting data and analytics
  • Tier 3 support role for incidents related to deployed technologies
  • Trusted expert on how to best use data to deploy business enabling solutions
  • Core member of data team to identify and resolve platform incidents
  • Identify opportunities to leverage ML to deliver key insights and develop these use cases
  • Maintain and develop platforms and techniques to deliver faster and automate non-value added tasksf

Context & Scope:

  • Broad knowledge of vendor landscape and capabilities
  • Technical expertise in broad areas of information technology and deep knowledge of Mars platforms
  • Strong internal relationships including platform ownership
  • . Leverage project management skills to deliver new capabilities and reduce Mars, Inc threat profile and deliver value to the Business.

Requirements:

  • University degree (engineering/IT/Computer Science) or equivalent work experience, Advanced University degree preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience implementing IT technologies, significant experience with infrastructure technologies, Networking technologies, Factory/ICS platforms
  • Experience with Python or R
  • Knowledge of common code control practices and technologies
