As a Security and Compliance Program Manager, you will:

  • Drive all aspects of Security Compliance including: Assessing which standards and compliance should Helix provide certificates for, coordinating gap analyses, and coordinating the assessments and certification processes
  • Work with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability of technical project planning and delivery for security and infrastructure build-out programs
  • Deliver project reporting utilizing tools to track planning, scheduling, issues, risks, and overall status of security and compliance projects
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives
  • Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward

Required Background:

  • A passion for improving people’s lives through access to better information about their DNA
  • 5+ years experience in Security and Compliance program management
  • 3+ years experience in performing and/or participating in technical assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort supporting (e.g. HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI)
  • Strong project management skills with proven track record for delivering results
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating ability to clearly distill complicated, technical subjects into easily understood explanations
  • Ability to identify blockers and cross team dependencies early
  • Familiar with security tools and processes
  • BS+ in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience required; coursework in cryptography, compliance/auditing, genetics/bioinformatics a plus
