Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a Security Administrator, Senior to provide on-site technical support to the Veterans Affairs (VA) administration. The successful candidate will support the Office of Information Technology (OI&T) to identify and remediate existing and future vulnerabilities.

 

A Senior Security Administrator has experience in managing security programs for a variety of IT products, systems and networks both small and large and complex. Is able to ensure that records are maintained, security updates are promulgated, and staff are properly briefed. Experience in coordinating with organizational security teams to ensure program consistency and compliance with all security requirements. Has a thorough knowledge of organizational and agency level security requirements and ensures that systems and personnel comply with these standards.

-$3.1 billion budget (FY12) 
-Nearly 7,500 employees 
-More than 300,000 desktop computers 
-Approximately 30,000 laptop computers 
-Nearly 450,000 email accounts 

The Continuous Readiness in Information Security Protection (CRISP) program began as a VA-wide initiative launched in March 2012 to address MWs by concentrating on: 

-Managing appropriate access control for users and reducing out-dated personnel clearances 
-Testing contingency plans for data breaches 
-Providing information security training for users, contractors, volunteers 
-Developing initial baseline configurations 
-Improving data-center web application security

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. and 5 years of experience
  • 8years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Demonstrates strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Must work well within a time sensitive environment
