My client is one of the top entertainment and media companies in the world. They are always expanding and are currently looking to bring on a Global Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. This person will have exposure to the entire business. The firm is laid back and offers a ton of room for growth.

As a member of the Corporate Finance department, the SEC Reporting & Global Accounting Policy Manager will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance with SEC reporting requirements and to ensure adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements and any other newly emerging FASB and regulatory requirements

• Evaluate technical accounting issues related to potential or new acquisitions/investments, derivatives and hedging, and financial instruments

• Research and analyze technical accounting issues, assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements to the Company and write accounting conclusions/policies

• Implementation of the new revenue recognition (ASC 606) and leasing (ASC 842) standards

• Accurate and timely submission of the Form 10-K, Form 10-Qs, Proxy and other SEC filings as required

• Manage the process of gathering timely and accurate information from individual business units to include in the Annual and Quarterly Reports

• Valuation and recognition of stock-based compensation, hedging and derivatives, contingent consideration and redeemable noncontrolling interests

• Oversee the documentation and testing of internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

• Provide support to groups in the Corporate Finance department and other business units on an as-needed basis

Requirements

· 5-10 Years of Public Accounting Experience

· SEC Reporting Experience Required

· CPA Preferred
