JOB DESCRIPTION:

The QA Engineer is responsible for developing, manual validation and automation of test cases on web-based applications utilizing Selenium / Microsoft C#/.NET and other technologies. You will be focused on projects regarding our proprietary, on-demand lending software for credit analysis, pre- and post-approval stress testing and ongoing management of loans. As a QA Engineer, you must possess a desire to learn and excel in a range of QA engineering. You will also need to have the ambition and drive to assist with testing end-to-end business applications using the Microsoft .NET platform, with a primary emphasis on browser-based applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

?        Understanding and experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) processes.

?        Ability to plan automation in early stages of SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle).

?        Provide automation task estimates and ensure deliverables are as per plan.

?        Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Software Architects and other QA Engineers to develop and execute QA Automation tests.

?        Assist with the maintenance of existing automation scripts.

?        Perform code review of automation work and make continuous improvements to Test coverage, execution and reporting.

?        Ability to Functional QA as required.

?        Work with Software Engineers / Architects / Business Analysts to understand new features, troubleshoot product issues, determine root cause and identify solutions.

?        Follow schedule in project / incident tracking system including awareness of goal dates, pro-active communication and clear documentation of the progress of an item.

?        Document time associated with each assigned task in accordance to company standards.

?        Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:                          

?        Required Experience:

o  Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS or the equivalent

o  Agile / Scrum methodology

o  5+ years web application automation testing

o  3+ years C#

o  3+ years Selenium

o  2+ years Gherkin

o  1+ BDD Process

o  2+ SpecFlow

o  1+ API testing (REST / SOAP / Etc?)

o  Visual Studio 2015 (or prior versions)

?        Preferred Experience:

o  Professional work history leading and mentoring other QA engineers and / or a small team

o  Cucumber Framework

o  Rally

o  Perforce

o  JSON

o  Jenkins

?        Ability to work both independently and within an Agile team environment

?        Ability to take direction from senior technical staff

?        Ability to interact with all levels of management

?        Financial experience / knowledge beneficial

?        Highly analytical skills for troubleshooting hardware and software issues

?        Exemplary organizational and follow-up skills

?        Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
