This role reports to SCM Specialist and is located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Your responsibilities

• Support commodity managers and analysts responsible for global material requirements.
• Collect data, create spreadsheets and analyze data.
• Perform financial analysis on commodity spend information.
• Create Request for Quotations and evaluate pricing.
• Correspond and negotiate with suppliers on basic terms.
• Develop, prepare and preset summary reports.
• Familiarize and coordinate data with ERP systems.
• Routine use of Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Develop and work on complex reporting, learn advanced tools and applications.
• Support department as assigned SCM Processes, Data management, lead simple SCM internal projects, KPIS, Reporting Needs, Work or communicate with the IT for SCM needs and data solutions.

Your background

• Require 4 years degree in business or engineering (advanced or master's is a plus) with minimum 3 years previous experience in strategic sourcing or buying.
• Advanced in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Ability to analyze complex data.
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point, especially Excel.
• Ability to analyze complex data and being able to work under tight timelines.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
• Experience in ERP systems, Data Analysis and Data management.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform in tight deadlines and critical projects.
• Flexibility to work per different time-zones depending on projects.
