Information about Agilent is available at We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support our Genomics R&D organization. This is a hands-on position developing and verifying performance of IVD products. In this position, you will help bring new molecular diagnostic tests to market.
The primary role will be to support of external clients and perform wet lab bench experiments, troubleshooting and optimization both independently and as advised by Senior Scientists
Collaborate with colleagues in Asia to support customer needs
Collect, analyze, and document primary data from experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, devise novel approaches to solve problems, and plan next steps to meet objectives as part of the project team
Effectively communicate scientific results in both written format and orally at group meetings, including with colleagues at remote sites
Assist senior scientists with lab maintenance, supply, and organizational tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Efficiently support workload to quickly and accurately execute experiments and meet aggressive goals
Meticulously document experiments and verification/validation (V&V) studies
Ensure all aspects of V&V studies are conducted according to internal and external quality and regulatory requirements
Ph.D. or MS degree in Molecular Biology or a related field
8+years of relevant lab experience and professional work experience
4+ years specific experience in NGS library prep, target enrichment, and automation
Fluent in Mandarin is crucial
Experience in cancer research and cancer diagnostic is a plus
Ability to work independently and as a part of a diverse team
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and specifically in the field of NGS automation and assay development
Strong data analysis knowledge/skills
Product development experience according to standard design control processes is a plus
Excellence in technical writing and verbal communication
Exceptional interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally
