Job Duties and Responsibilities

Overview
ManTech is currently seeking a Sr. Scientific Analyst to support our dynamic operations in Arlington, VA.
Will develop, test, and document future updates to existing Air Force mathematical models and simulations. Additionally, the analyst will work with GUI developers to design new features, maintain version control and change logs of source code, and develop/give presentations at User Group meetings. .

   Languages: GAMS, Visual Basic/VBA, Scripting (bat, bash, Perl, wsf, etc), any compiled language, any object oriented language
   Concepts: Data Structures,Loops/Branching, Functions, properties/Methods/Actions, Configuration/VersionControl
Software: All Microsoft Office
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux

AirForce/Naval Air Understanding
Basic Airpower Doctrine: CounterAir/Interdiction/SEAD/DEAD/Jamming; ISR Systems
Aircraft: Fighters/Bombers/TankersTypes & Missions
Weapons: Guided/Unguided,Standoff/Direct Attack
WeaponeeringConcepts: CEP, Effectiveness Indices, SSPD/Pk  

Communication Skills
Teaching: Follows lesson plans to teach new users how to run model; Develops/maintains/executes lesson plans
Writing: Communicate technical terms to a nontechnical audience; Produce documents requiring editing before release
Speaking: Presents past/present/future work to user group; Leads group discussions on proposed model modifications; Develops new model requirements with customer

Other
A current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret (current Top Secret desired).
 
Qualifications     Requires Bachelor's degree in Astronomy, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Radiology, or Nuclear Science and seven to nine years of related experience.
