Position Description:

To work with the Director & Associate Director to execute school & library marketing initiatives for titles published by Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group with a specific focus on conference planning and attendance.

Major Responsibilities:

• Works with Associate Director to plan and manage all aspects of attending 10-14 national and regional conferences annually from booking space, curating display lists, coordinating events, and arranging author appearances
• Travels to and attends 6-8 national and regional conferences annually
• Responsible for the submission and processing of all relevant titles for national awards
• Works directly with advertising and promotions team to plan and execute select promo items tied to regional and national conferences
• Coordinates and manages all aspects of department Staff Picks video program including working with corporate digital team and developing distribution plans

Experience Needed:

• Minimum 4 years publishing experience required preferably in children’s school and library marketing
• Must be willing and able to travel during both the working week and weekends
• Must have experience in trade show planning

Educational Background Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
