Manages the full systems development life cycle of projects/programs within SAP HR/HCM following the ITPM Agile methodology. Coordinates and takes the lead role for the technical/functional development and support of IT applications in his/her area of responsibility with a concentration in the SAP HR/HCM Module including; Time Management, Payroll, Benefits, Personnel Administration, ESS/MSS, Organizational Management, SAP Portal, as well as BMW SAP HCM custom systems and solutions. Plans, designs, develops, and implements efficient IT systems in support of assigned organizational functions following the Agile methodology. Applies proven communication, analytical and problem- solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Performs planning, analysis, functional design, requirements definition, system design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions. Provides support for difficult and complex system environments by indentifying and resolving systems issues (2nd and 3rd level support). Provides support, assistance, and training to users. Manages small to medium sized projects with planning, development and implementation of system solutions. Project management could include budget control responsibility. Coordinates activities simultaneously for multiple projects. Uses ITPM Agile methodology (including Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, etc) effectively when performing all tasks. Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements (user stories), systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues. Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers when applicable. Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. Manages the development and deployment, rollout, and hand-over to IT Service Management/Application Operations any assigned tasks/responsbilities as it relates to projects, applications, systems software, and/or enhancements in his/her respective area of responsibility ensuring that development projects meet business requirements and goals, and fulfill end-user requirements. Manages contractor/consultants on tasks assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

  • Qualifications and ExperienceBA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science,
  • Business or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in an IT application
  • or Infrastructure profession.
  • 3+ years experience in a variety of programming languages and
  • technologies. Preferably in SAP ABAP, SAP UI5/FIORI, SAP Screen
  • Personas. Additional programming languages include C++, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE, SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX).
  • 3+ years experience in planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documenting and training of IT applications.
  • 3+ years programming experience.
  • 3+ years experience in project management.
  • 3+ years experience working in a customer service orientated
  • environment.
  • 3+ years experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative
  • environment.
  • Training in systems used in assigned area of responsibility (preferred)
  • Training in Project Management (preferred)
  • 3+ years of functional knowledge in SAP HR functional design and
  • configuration with ability to resolve issues across the various SAP HCM
  • modules in a hands-on manner.
  • 3+ years of knowledge in execution and communication of project plans.
  • 3+ years of knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • 3+ years of knowledge of IT infrastructure components - Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, Internet Technologies, etc.
  • Intermediate knowledge in communicating ideas in both technical and
  • user-friendly language.
  • Basic knowledge in cost and budget control.
