Job Summary
Travelers eBusiness is in search of a highly-motivated, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our team. eBusiness is responsible for driving leading-edge digital communication capabilities on behalf of the enterprise, enabling the business to create timely and relevant audience-centric user experiences for our Agents, Customers, Prospects and our Employees.

In this role, you will join the Digital Communications Team – a highly collaborative group of Salesforce Marketing Cloud specialists – to strategically develop, maintain and guide the growth our Travelers Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform for the enterprise. You will partner with eBusiness teammates and business stakeholders to help drive the strategic adoption of the platform, ensure business and customer value realization, and successfully manage the day-to-day technical development of data integrations, scalable Contact Builder attribute groups, SQL-based query automations, strategic data extracts, dynamic emails via Content Builder, and event-driven journeys via Journey Builder.

With the demand to leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud growing rapidly across the enterprise, this is an opportunity for you to have a direct and sizeable impact developing the foundation of Travelers’ strategic Digital Communications platform.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Digital Communications Lead to design SFMC solutions and advancements that scale across the enterprise
  • Provide SFMC development that can scale across business units and enterprise use cases
  • Relational Contact Builder development and testing
  • Scalable data integration with upstream MDM/Shared data platform
  • Facilitates ongoing maintenance and expansion
  • Supports troubleshooting and resolution of data-related SFMC errors
  • SQL-based query activities for audience segmentation, reporting and data extracts
  • Front-end html and javascript coding in support of Cloud Pages
  • Ampscript coding in support of complex dynamic emails
  • REST support for leveraging SFMC web service to:
  • Trigger communications, journeys, and automations
  • Transfer data into journeys and data extensions
  • Retrieve data from extract tables
  • Expand Travelers utilization of SFMC REST web service

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 3 years of programming/development experiencerequired.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge

  • 3+ years hands-on experience designing and developing strategic solutions via Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a corporate environment
  • Experience presenting high-level overviews of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, architecture and integration capabilities, consulting with both technical and non-technical customers
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator experience (desired)
  • Contact Builder relational data model configuration and testing, facilitating initial development, ongoing maintenance and expansion
  • SQL-based Query Activities for audience segmentation, reporting and data extracts
  • Designing and creating automations via Automation Studio
  • Content Builder dynamic email creation (Ampscript experiencepreferred)
  • REST support for leveraging SFMC web service to transfer data into journeys and data extensions
  • Build triggered sends, journeys, and automations
  • Landing page and web form creation via Cloud Pages
  • SMS Text campaigns via MobileConnect in Mobile Studio
  • Work with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Premier Support to troubleshoot issues
  • Agile Development using Rally or a similar project management software (preferred)

  • Creating, managing and presenting an actionable Blueprint that aligns a customer’s business needs to the recommended Salesforce Marketing Cloud solution
  • Validating solution components and provide solution walkthrough with stakeholders
  • Conducting solutions presentations and obtain customer acceptance to solution design
  • Design, implement and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
  • Positively contribute to our kinetic and constructive working environment by building strong relationships with teammates, partners and stakeholders

Licensing or Certificates
Depends on the specific role but some examples may include: ITIL Remedy Java certification Microsoft certification.net Kanban/Agile/SAFe
