Closes sales in order to meet individual/team quotas and company business objectives. Possibly manages existing accounts as part of a larger Account Team or could manage named accounts within geography for a particular product or product set. Typically have a limited number of key/strategic accounts and maintains relationships with clients at the senior management or executive level. Generates business with new clients as well as generating additional business with existing clients.

  • Identifies and articulates key areas of opportunities in the market. Analyzes development of sales.
  • Supports the Senior Sales Executives in closing deals in order to meet individual/team quotas and company business objectives.
  • Assists the Senior Sales Executives in conducting regular status and strategy meetings with the customers.
  • Responds to escalated customer issues.
  • Develops a good understanding of industries, regulatory environments and markets.

Skills, Requirement and Competencies  

  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
  • Requires some general supervision and/or supervision to apply technical knowledge to our industry/markets. 
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.

  • Assists with navigating the customer organization and identifying the customer’s unique strategic objectives, business challenges and operational processes.
  • Assists with identifying customer’s key decision-makers; maintains this customer information in internal sales systems.
  • Assists with retaining valuable customers by identifying their basic needs and recommending products/services/ solutions.
  • Understands the full array of Nasdaq’s offerings and areas of expertise.
  • Builds a working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc. within scope of responsibility.
  • Have a working knowledge of competitors’ products and services as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Participates in dialogue with assigned customers.         
  • Participates in the communication with the internal team to identify opportunities to act on information learned.
  • Gains insight to external trends (i.e. business trends, regulatory issues, global implications) to contribute to the anticipation of customers’ needs.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and customers to assess customers’ immediate and long-term needs solution offerings.
  • Assist in managing customers through the sales process (pre-sale through post-sale),
  • Understands the other roles that are part of the sales process (e.g., sales support).
  • Assists in presenting deal scenarios to the customer that focus on how Nasdaq can best address their future business challenges.
  • Evaluates sales performance to understand strongest and weakest customers, bestselling products, and successful sales techniques.
  • Assists in identifying opportunity in territory and develops a sales plan for the territory, including a list of high priority customers to target.
  • Assist in conducts an ongoing review of the territory plan, referring back to it regularly to make sure the plan is on target.
  • Delivers requested detailed information about the uses and values of Nasdaq’s products/offerings.
  • Education Required:  Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales 
  • ExperienceRequired:  At least 3 years
