Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo's industrial products division is seeking to hire an IndustrialSales Representative in San Diego, CA who will report to the Area Business Manager. As an Industrial Sales Rep you will sell a range of industrial scales including bench, pallet, rail, tank, floor, and customized specialty scales used in a variety of industries and settings.
Your responsibilities would include:
Growing sales and achieving targets by following established selling methods, demonstrating our products and applications, following up with sales leads, penetrating new accounts and maintaining key accounts.
Organizing, planning and scheduling selling time to cover the assigned territory.
Participating in tradeshows, associations and local in-house shows and seminars.
Covering a multi-state territory with about 25% or less overnight travel.
What You Need to Succeed
Worked in sales with at least 5 to 7 years of related experience in the industrial marketplace. Sales experience with OEM's, VAR's, integrators, and engineering houses is helpful.
A BS or BA in fields such as engineering, industry or technology, or business administration.
Knowledge of PLC and distributed control systems, PC application and related connectivity.
Led accounts and maintained relationships with targeted account buyers and influencers.
Established yourself as a trusted leader with vision in a related field by analyzing customer problems, mastering product knowledge, and differentiating from the competition
The discipline to use sales automation software to develop and track opportunities, maintain a customer database, and target key accounts.
Excellent relationship-building skills to create trust with customers and key accounts and make measurable progress through the sales pipeline.
Experience using SAP's CRM system is a plus.
