Milton CAT is looking for entrepreneurial independent-minded sales leaders to effectively ?run their own business? and join our rapidly growing team.  We are looking to invest in and develop the right candidate to drive business (sales and rentals) of light and heavy construction equipment within Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia and Berkshire counties. This field position involves being on the road every day, setting up meetings, prospecting job sites, executing ?business conversations? on critical issues and closing business with valued customers and prospects.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Associates Degree in business administration, communications or related field required. Equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an associate?s degree.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. 

?        2 to 10+ years?experience in field sales.

?        Strong construction sales experience with proven success in prospecting and developing a territory.

?        Knowledge of heavy equipment (Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Dozers, Skid Steers).

?        Excellent negotiation skills. 

?        Strong entrepreneurial drive and work ethic.

?        Competitive nature. Driven to succeed. Hate to lose.

?        Passion for heavy equipment and agriculture.

?        Solid leadership qualities (examples of initiative).

?        Strong QUESTIONING techniques that drive ?business conversations? (Discovery/PAIN).

?        Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer needs.

?        Must have and maintain a clean driving record.

?        Travel throughout the Milton CAT territory and outside of the Milton CAT territory as needed.
