Minimum of three years of previous, relevant sales engineering, field service or project management experience preferred Responsibilities Position Summary: Responsible for supporting sales in every aspect of the sales cycle and market. Generates new business and grows existing accounts in electronic security systems and solutions to new and/or existing customers. Prospects and develops new client relationships within a defined geography and in line with Convergints identified priorities.



1.Prospects, cultivates and qualifies new customer opportunities and be able to communicate your formal prospecting plan. Create market awareness of Convergint Technologies offering through prospecting, networking, presentations and trade association meetings.

2.Develops and implements the agreed upon business plan for a specific market sector that will focus on service / maintenance revenue through work orders as well as increasing our CSP base.

3.Creates and develops sales and marketing strategies and leads that result in service bookings to meet or exceed the established goals of specific office for electronic security systems. Creates market awareness of Convergint Technologies offering through multi-media, mailings, presentations and trade association meetings. Utilizes the Convergint systems to facilitate prospecting and proposals for your clients.

4.Reviews estimates for accuracy in product and labor. Constructs and submits professionally written proposals.

5.Takes on a leadership role with select product partners and supports their business development activity.

6.Establishes written formal sales goals and meeting regularly with the Sales Leader to gauge personal progress against said goals.

7.Acts as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customers first choice for service.

8.Meets directly with customers to establish needs and drive the overall sales process.

9.Conducts customer site walk-throughs and estimates service opportunities.

10.Updates Scorecard weekly for all projects and service opportunities being pursued.

11.Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Skills Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted

Basic knowledge of electronic security systems

Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision

Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
