Beschreibung The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with the Executive Vice President of Defense and Aerospace and will deal with highly confidential information in relation with the company’s Sales andMarketing growth strategies. The incumbent defines, manages and implements necessary processes to help field teams succeed andremove obstacles to selling. The ideal candidate will develop thoughtful analytics and delivery of meaningful insights driven by data asrequired by the business, and also maintains customerdatabases and captures relevant customer and market data. They will also gather, interpret, and communicate competitor and market information to appropriate personnel. The Sales Operations Manager will also partners with IT and the business to define solutions and requirements. The SOM will also help identify deficiencies in Sales andMarketing work flows, and creates acceptable alternative processes. This position may also assist sales leadership with running the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participates and support his/her immediate Supervisor in the development and implementation of the company’s global Sales and Marketing growth strategies, including the administration of highly confidential data.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for sales teams to address field issues with the management team and ensures timely response to key customers’ issues (pricing, contractual, etc.).
  • Ensures coordination of sales training across multiple product lines and actively participates with product lines to bridge the knowledge gap with new sales teams.
  • Assists the EVP in:
    • Mapping customers across business segments.
    • Developing new tools to measure, prioritize and grow the business. ?
    • Rebuilding the field compensation program.
  • Partners with IT in developing a strong web presence and sales.
  • Trains, rolls out and develops CRM knowledge across the organization.
  • Develops and manages the salesforecastingprocess:
    • Participates in weekly commit calls to ensure plans are being met. ?
    • Works with field teams to address gaps against plan. ?
    • Defines requirements and implement forecasting tools as needed to enhance efficiencies in forecasting. ?
    • Maintains bookings reports and distribute to field teams to stay in sync with business actuals and forecast. ?
    • Manages and reports on consolidated bookings forecast (BOD, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual planning).
  • Assists finance with achieving revenue targets:
  • Works with account teams to identify acceptances for revenue forecasting.
  • Generates sales dashboards and otherreports needed to run the business.
  • Develops Board of Director package with sales leadership (numbers, highlights, etc.).
  • Manages weekly highlights for management to stay aligned with key issues in the field.
  • Conducts quarterly business reviews with leadership and field teams at headquarters and in geographies to maintain alignment on key customer activity and field status.
  • Defines and implement build forecast process with sales and manufacturing: ?
    • Develops accurate forecasts to keep overstock at a minimum while ensuring customer delivery requirements are met. ?
    • Works with account teams and manufacturing to prioritize customer’s delivery needs.
  • Manages sales commissioncompensationwithin board of directors and management team guidelines: ?
    • Defines goals with sales leadership. ?
    • Distributes and manage plans. ?
    • Calculates commissions based on bookings. ?
    • Manages annual awards for sales.
  • Manages quote approval process for sales and ensure orders are booked and credited correctly: ?
    • Ensures timely approval of quotes from sales through approval process to avoid delays in customer responsiveness and therefore purchase orders. ?
    • Subject matter expert in quote creation and approval. ?
    • Resolve issues with quotes with cross-functional team: sales, finance, PLM, services (EG: Part #s, discounts, back-up, configurations, etc.). ?
    • Develops quotes for business partners not managed through account teams. ?
    • Approve customer purchase orders ensuring accurate pricing and conformance with quote.
    • Work with field teams to rectify issues in a timely manner. ?
    • Ensure orders are properly booked and recognized with order management to ensure targets are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree required, preferably in Marketing with 10 plus years of relevant work experience.
  • Related international experience, either living abroad or working internationally would be an asset.
  • Must have strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong PC skills required (MS Office, particularly Excel and/or Access).
  • Strong in interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and set priorities.
  • Independent judgment and analysis required.
  • Knowledgeable of our industry related marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of the industries Excelitas serves.
  • Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
