SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales are what drive BerganKDV's growth as a Midwest leader in Professional Services, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), Outsourced Payroll, Bookkeeping, Sales & Use Tax, Security and Managed IT. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Sales (80%)

  • Visible external leader of sales for your Market / Industry
  • Strong business acumen
  • Responsible for growing overall service (growth goals aligned with Market Leader)
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new client opportunities within the Market / Industry
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from potential client through client acquisition
  • Work with Market and Service Leaders to prepare and present proposals and service agreements
  • Close sales by building rapport, relaying company capabilities, and overcoming objections
  • Report on sales activities, metrics and forecasts
  • Maintain prospect and opportunity data in customer management tools
  • Network in person and over the phone with key referral partners to generate business
  • Develop and execute prospecting strategies to generate leads for BerganKDV
  • Work with Market Leader to mine existing and prospective clients for referral business
  • Represent software and service products of interest to clients and prospects

Position will be based in the Omaha, Nebraska Market. Early morning and after-hours schedule will be required for select events.

Other (20%)

  • Monitor competitive marketplace and assist with improving our market position
  • Recommend new products and services to appropriate BerganKDV resources
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings
  • Attend tradeshows, seminars, and other marketing events
  • Facilitate marketing campaign tasks
  • Self-study learning

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, accounting, finance or communications preferred
  • 5+ years of Software Application Sales or Professional Service Firm sales experience with a record of high achievement a plus

Certification

  • Market / Industry Sales Leader will be required to complete certification on BerganKDV products / services and take on a quota in order to be eligible for incentive pay.
