International corporation serving the aerospace industry has immediate need for a Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts with both the U.S. military (70%) and commercial companies (30%). The Sales Manager will develop market strategies to generate new customers in North America while also retaining and growing sales volume with current customer base. The Sales Manager will be heavily involved in the proposal process, especially with military contracts, so a background that understands military procurement will be ideal. Will build strong relationships with customers as well as industry partners like the FAA, NASA, and others. The Sales Manager will present accurate market assessments, develop long-term growth strategies, and serve as the primary spokesman on programs, capabilities, and long-range goals.
The position will be based in southern GA and travel will be 30-40%, all domestic.
Qualified candidates will have BS degree, MBA preferred along with at least 5 years experience working with the proposal process in a DoD contracting environment. Must have experience with US Government contracts (FARs, DFARs, etc). A military background is a plus.
