The Highlights
The Managed Services (MS) Strategic Sales Manager is responsible for leading a regional sales team focused on positioning Managed Network Services, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN products to Enterprise customers. The MS Sales Specialist team will sell to existing and prospective clients by showing how Spectrum Enterprise's innovative business solutions satisfy their growing complex technology and communication needs. This position will both sell direct and also partner with local sales and marketing teams to define and execute team-based selling strategies.
What You Will Do

  • Lead the MSSales Specialist team to exceed monthly sales goals for Managed Network Services, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN
  • Oversee daily activities to include recruit, train, motivate and develop the MS Specialist team into a productive, cohesive unit to increase productivity and exceed product goals
  • Develop and execute sales plans to accelerate market adoption of Spectrum Enterprise MS, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN through independent prospecting
  • Work in conjunction with the leaders in Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing and Product to develop and execute overarching team selling strategies
  • Support Spectrum Enterprise sales teams directly by demonstrating Hosted Voice and SD-WAN to prospective clients
  • Produce market development plans to promote Managed Network Services, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN
  • Represent Spectrum Enterprise by participating in industry trade shows, technology symposiums and other field marketing opportunities
  • Engage with Product in the development and advancement of service attributes
  • Engage with Operations and Process teams to drive efficiencies
  • Develop and provide weekly sales summaries, reports and analysis
  • Monitor the sales team in both maintenance and acquisition of accounts and conduct weekly sales staff meetings and one on one reviews of activity and performance to ensure all team members are conducting daily activities in applicable categories.
  • Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned

Required Keys for Success

  • Five or more years of Enterprise Level Account telecommunications sales experience
  • Experience leading teams focused on selling LAN/WAN technologies, Managed Router and Firewall services, Hosted Voice, SD-WAN and Cloud-based solutions
  • Industry recognized applicable certifications like Cisco / Broadsoft / Fortinet / Nuage or Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Certifications
  • The Managed Services Strategic Sales Manager will have a commanding presentation style, often leading face-to-face consultative meetings with C-Level/Business owners, highlighting product features, attributes and conduct product demos
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams to overachieve
  • Ability to organize, implement and maintain sales goals
  • Conversant with telecommunications/networking technologies
  • Above-average business analysis skills with MS Office tools and Salesforce.com (or similar CRM)
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Valid and active State driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

How You Will Stand Out from the Crowd

  • Five or more years of Enterprise Level Account telecommunications sales experience with a proven track record for meeting and exceeding sales performance
  • History of team-building and management in a high-volume, fast-paced changing environment
  • Track record of developing and managing high performing teams
  • Experience with LAN and WAN technologies, Managed Router and Firewall services, Hosted Voice solutions, SD-WAN technology and Cloud-based solutions
  • Industry recognized applicable certifications like Cisco / Broadsoft / Fortinet / Nuage or Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Certifications Extensive experience with Salesforce.comreporting
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience (required)
