Job Description

The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for the Inside Sales team client relations functions in an effort to promote Kaplan Financial Education (KFE) and IT Cert Prep products and related attributes. This position will ensure proper representative behavior as it relates to client interaction, complete knowledge of products and the education process, and align attributes to ensure team productivity. This individual provides strategic direction for department and business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach, Coach, Develop and Manage inside sales staff
  • Conversant in multiple sales methodologies and best practices
  • Effectively monitors, communicates and manages team productivity and accountability
  • Proactively provides insight to management on client opportunities and needs
  • Works closely with other internal stakeholders to take advantage of market opportunities and solve client related issues
  • Creates and maintains relationships with individual clients and small corporate clients
  • Maintains a direct book of business
  • Research and resolve any issues to ensure client retention and satisfaction
  • Work with management to determine goals
  • Analyze data and summarize into coherent business reports
  • Organize/implement ongoing training to keep client facing employees informed of new products


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or related fields      
  • 5 Years' experience in sales, sales management, and/or product management
  • Must be familiar with Office productivity tools and Salesforce.com
  • Successful demonstration of planning, forecasting, problem-solving, and analytical skills   
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to develop and produce reports from existing systems, analyze the reports, and make informed recommendations.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workload, systems and processes with resilience and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently and navigate a matrix environment.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback
  • Professionalism and good judgment with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously      


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CMS systems
