Position at Commercial Construction North America

ITW Commercial Construction is seeking a Sales Manager responsible for managing a small sales team focused on implementing strategic plans for an assigned key account.  In this role, you will meet and exceed revenue/margin goals by developing business within the account using Commercial products/services knowledge coupled with a clear understanding of client issues/needs. This position focuses on individual and sales team success through personal sales targets, new business development, and customer relationships including troubleshooting specific customer problems.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue/margin plans while measuring/monitoring effectiveness of sales programs while driving accountability to build the ITW brand within the key account
  • Lead ongoing market analysis by obtaining intelligence through multiple sources including: Sales Team, Customers and Distribution to develop and implements regional strategies
  • Develop key customer relationships “high, deep, and wide” including Regional, District, and Branch level relationships to target and support construction related selling
  • Develop communication and territory management skills throughout sales team
  • Lead major promotions, new product launches and new marketing initiatives
  • Identify, lead and develop talent to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness
  • Build credibility within ITW as well as with outside stakeholders to foster team success
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelordegreerequired with MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of sales territory management required
  • Previous experience in Construction, MRO, Industrial or related industry preferred
  • Previous supervisory experiencepreferred
  • Proven ability to influence customers
  • Ability to analyze sales data and determine appropriate actions to improve account position
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities with highly effective follow through skills
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills; small informal groups as well as large groups
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
