Job Understanding

The job of the Regional Sales Manager is to meet or exceed the "Sales Target" given by corporate Hitachi, manage the monthly forecast, report to Hitachi Sales Management Pro's and Con's taking place within the assigned territory (TX, OK & LA) that keep all sales groups within the assigned territory from meeting sales targets. Manage sales CRM, follow up with customers and Hitachi teams with a reasonable/appropriate time frame, manage territory expenses, and manage sales network- to include and direct/rep/distributor base sales groups.

Key Responsibilities

o Manage to regional "Sales Target"

§ Ability to report out of missed target and to set plans for recovery

o Manage month territory forecast

§ Direct sales and/or Rep/Distributor if required

o Sales negotiation skills

o Sell to meet customer needs and requirements

o Sales Planning

o Understanding key market segments

o Managing expenses

Other Duties/Expectations

o Coordinate applications projects between customer and applications team

o Supply sales/communication support between Service, application, Sales

o Management, and customer when required

o Manage and attend market segment trade shows within your territory of responsibility

Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent

o A minimum of 2 years of sales experience within the electronic components, semi-conductors, wafers, metal finishing, or circuit boards is required.

o Knowledge of XRF Coating Thickness market segments, understanding of customer requirements within the segments.

o Strong experience in development of customer's sales requirements.

o Basic working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Pivot tables, Power Point, and basic general computer skills.

o Excellent documentation, communication, and sales writing skills required.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Proficiency with computer-based engineering methods and computer tools.

o Ability to work well with others - teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity, and excellent communication.

o Ability to logically document and solve problems and to keep projects moving.

o Must be a self-motivated, organized and strong communicator.
