The Activision Walmart Team Sales Manager position is responsible for the hands on management and development of all Activision and Blizzard product sales for Walmart.  Achievement of volume targets within assigned spending budgets is a core responsibility of the position, which will be achieved through Regular Line Reviews, Joint Business Planning, and solid execution of sales fundamentals. The role is also responsible for leading the development of the overall relationship with assigned customers by leveraging their multifunctional resources.

Responsibilities:    

  • Oversee existing relationships with customer to ensure Activision-Blizzard products are represented in line with brand strategies
  • Manage corporate and customer item forecasts
  • Communicate product launch and ongoing inventory needs with corporate.  Align customer to product forecast expectations.  Maximize product launch and quarterly forecast accuracy
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with customer to exploit new release and catalog revenue opportunities
  • Includes: Walmart, Walmart.com, Sam’s Club interaction
  • Maximize product lifecycle revenue / profitability at customer from pre-sell, to launch, and beyond.  Maximize launch revenue through product evangelism and consultative selling using benchmark title data. Establish long lead planning with customer to maximize upstream planning and execution
  • Conduct Regular Line Reviews to secure launch distribution
  • Handle all requests for distribution, deletion, cost, etc for Walmart
  • Take lead role in developing, planning and executing plans and distribution for Walmart 
  • Plan and execute account specific merchandising and marketing programs designed to build mass awareness, maximize in-store presence, drive trial and purchase intent at customer.  Leverage product evangelism, consultative selling, and customer expertise to garner customer alignment to plans.  Manage all customer activities within budget.  Lead financial analysis of program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Activision RetailMarketing Manager on any marketing requests for Walmart
  • Be the point person on Marketing Co-ops submitted for all Walmart
  • Communicate pricing issues and opportunities to corporate to maximize product promotion and replenishment
  • Prepare and deliver multi-faceted, best in class sales meeting presentations that contain industry, regional, and account insights as well as cutting edge product information.   Maintain a leadership role on all customer related transaction issues including order processing and logistics, marketing fund accrual deductions, and customer service.  Compile, monitor and report sell-through in the region and share findings with key stakeholders.  Use sell-through data for future bench marking sell-in purposes
  • Participate and lead special projects as assigned

Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate 4 yeardegree from a major university in Business or Marketing
  • Minimum of 5 years salesexperience, some Walmart Salesexperiencedesired
  • Knowledge of video game industry desired
  • Knowledge of Walmart Retail Link system
  • Walmart business practices/processes strongly desired
  • Excellent quantitative and forecasting skills
