Job Description


  • Sell and promote integrated disability management services to small to mid-market companies;
  • Educate prospects and clients about disability management services;
  • Confer with employers on disability issues;
  • Research client data in order to identify and provide assistance with disability management needs;
  • Investigate and resolve client issues regarding accounts;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers by attending meetings
  • Utilize marketing tools to identify target companies and develop action plans to sell to target employers by;
  • Build an effective pipeline that can sustain and achieve an annual sales goal
  • Skillfully build network of Benefit Brokers to use as an effective option for their customers
  • Utilize and maintain all sales activity in SalesForce software system
  • Developing marketing strategies
  • Preparing and presenting proposals
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of customer services by:
  • Studying and analyzing sales results
  • Preparing reports to show marketing efforts
  • Studying other market research information
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by:
  • Attending workshops and seminars
  • Identifying industry trends
  • Reviewing and monitoring changes in disability management rules and policies


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Public Relations or Human Resources or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of proven sales experience in Disability Management, FMLA, and/or Insurance industry or have prior Broker Relationship experience
  • Proven success at fostering and selling services through business relationships and networking with a variety of strategic partners and customers
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels of customers and employees;
  • Outstanding group presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for travel in-state up to up to 75%; some out of state travel possible.
