Our Sales Engineers help Zones nfrastructure become a trusted partner and thrive on new customer acquisition and accelerating revenue opportunities through the Electrical and Telecommunications account pipeline.

The Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for:

  • Contribute to Electrical and Telecommunications sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
  • Identify current and future Electrical and Telecommunications customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers
  • Establish new Electrical and Telecommunications accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; customer service requirements; planning and organizing sales call schedule
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying Electrical and Telecommunications blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel
  • Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services
  • Submit orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes
  • Develop customer's staff by providing technical information and training
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending Electrical and Telecommunications educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in applicable professional network groups
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.


We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • BA in Business or a related field,
  • 10+ years experience in construction and construction management industries


Skills & Experience:

  • Good interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills and strong selling skills (Selling to the Customers needs)
  • Proven ability to effectively influence, build trust, communicate and connect at all levels of the organization
  • Must have good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
