About the Role
As a Menlo Security Pre-Sales Engineer, you'll be working closely with the regional sales teams and Menlo Partners to provide solutions to Enterprise customers within the region. You'll evangelize the Menlo Security Isolation Platform and help move the business forward with a consultative approach to the pre-sales process.
The Sales Engineer must be highly technical and influential; capable of effectively articulating technology and product positioning to a variety of audiences including C-Level Executives and advanced technical personal. This individual will be an integral part of the sales effort and lend technical credibility.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level and detailed technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to customers’ requirements
- Provide product support and assist prospects, customers and partners with their technical and business-related issues
- Map technical and business value to the long-term business goals within customer environment
- Engage with the Menlo Security Regional Sales and Sales Engineering Teams to support their customer engagements
- Engage with the Menlo Security Product and Sales Teams within Menlo Security Partners
- Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
- Own the technical response to RFIs/RFPs
- Coordinate the delivery of Proof of Concept (POC) to demonstrate Menlo Security Value and Differentiation
- Develop regional Menlo Security Partners
- Coordinate efforts with the Menlo Security Deployment and Integration teams during the production rollout
- Support regional marketing and/or partner events
- Maintain up to date pre-sales engagement processes and progress in SFDC
- Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
Requirements
- Passion for and in-depth knowledge of IT Security is essential
- In-depth knowledge of IT Security Technology: Particularly hands on experience in the deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of Web Proxy technologies
- In depth experience with SMTP, NGFW, SAML, ADFS, SSL
- Knowledge & experience in security relevant technologies and trends
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- 5+ year experience for related sales engineering, system engineering, IT consulting or related field
- Experience with DLP and CASB technologies a plus
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable in a nimble environment
- Must have excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
