Essential Duties:

Sales Training

  • Create company-wide sales training strategy, curriculum, and content for on-going sales development, with a focus on sales methodology, product, content, and application
  • Create and implement sales on-boarding process
  • Create metrics and sales certification process to ensure consistent and effective digestion of training material across the sales team
  • Drive annual Global Commercial Meeting planning, with focus on stated sales development objectives for the meeting
  • Planning and coordinating sales leadership and “trainer” training development programs

Sales Process

  • Centralize and clearly communicate components of NanoString’s sales culture, including measurable processes and protocols for effective selling
  • Design and execute sales team development programs for strategic growth initiatives or key new market penetration approaches

Sales Tools Management

  • Manage sales enablement tools required for sales execution, presentation, or content management
  • Standardize CRM utilization, train the selling organization, and measure against expectations to improve accuracy and consistency of data
  • Own the development and maintenance of the sales Learning Management System (LMS)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Application Specialists, and other support functions to improve the efficiency of sales training content
  • Develop channels to gather feedback from the field and relevant departments around sales enablement strategy success


  • Experience designing and delivering sales training programs
  • Ability to work cross-functionally at both the Senior and Individual Contributor level
  • Outstanding work ethic, honesty, integrity, compatibility with NanoString culture and the ongoing ability to help foster an excellent work environment
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Both results-oriented and collaborative, able to work independently and function well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated focus on personal and team accountability, with proven track record of meeting/exceeding established goals
  • BS, BA, or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive development in sales, marketing, operations, or corporate training roles
  • Experience in Life Sciences or Biotechnology field preferred but not required
  • Position is located at NanoString Corporate Headquarters in Seattle, WA.
