We are rapidly growing and looking for a SLED Sales Director to grow our public sector business. Our Sales Directors are individual contributors who execute on regional plans, including identification of core customers and mapping the benefits of Elastic's solutions to solve customers' challenges and ensure customers' success. For the SLED Sales Director role, we are looking for an individual who has a track-record of successful selling into State & Local agencies as well as Education accounts.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Developing new business and being a partner within your region to build and meet customers' demand for Elastic’s services.
  • Helping foster our open source community and grow our commercial offerings.
  • Forecasting activity and recurring monthly revenue achievement.
  • Presenting to C-level executives and developers the value of our Elastic resources.

What You Bring Along:

  • 7+ years of successful enterprise software sales with at least 3+ years of SLED sales experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both developers and executives.
  • Strong network of strategic relationships within SLED accounts.
  • Track record of achievement in Public Sector and Higher Education sales roles demonstrated by exceeding your quota.
  • Understanding of the nuances of selling open source technology.
  • Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment - you have an abiding technical curiosity and dedication to growing new markets.
  • Knowledge of Big Data, Cloud, NoSQL, Search, and Logging products.
  • Outstanding business development, prospecting, qualifying and closing skills.
  • Strong partner relationships and experienceworking with SI’s (Accenture, Deloitte, etc)
  • Experience working with SFDC and Aviso.
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
