Our client a billion $ global corporation is seeking a territory based candidate to call on Architects to specify commercial construction product offering. COMPANY VEHICLE provided.
NorthEast Regional Sales Manager: This home office based position will be located within the territory, which includes: Base city and parts of Northeast US, including all of New England. The Sales Rep should excel in identifying sales opportunities, developing relationships with key, strategic decision-makers and managing the sales process. Construction related degrees, (Architectural, or Marketing, Economics, Construction Management) a plus.
The job requires the ability to collaborate with Regional Independent Representatives, other Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales team, on multiple projects.
This position is responsible for planning travel, effective appointment setting and requires good written/ communication skills. Ability to effectively interface with architects, contract managers, general contractors, contract glaziers and sales representatives in order to provide responsive pricing and code compliant product and design solutions (particularly related to fire protection and safety glazing).
Desired Skills and Expertise
Strong follow-up and negotiation skills required, regional territory travel may be required to support the outside sales force. Must be a team player, must be skilled in the Microsoft Office environment. Execute the job with a positive attitude towards customers and a willingness to assist coworkers. Stay apprised of products additions and eliminations as they occur. Ensure that clients and prospects information communicated through the CRM.
The concentration of business is in 150 mile radius of base city. Over night travel is expected to be 40% with some air travel.
