Responsibilities:

  • Broadening relationships with existing customers based in assigned market segments.
  • Building a larger "share of wallet" with existing customers.
  • Pursuit of new sales opportunities in existing markets and target markets.
  • Collaborating with Engineering to define customer driven product innovations.
  • Working with management to produce accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Price management for the customer base.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with old and new customer accounts.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate outside sales within defined regional territory.
  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Assist with coordination of trade shows and industry events and attend as requested.
  • Assess bid requests and specifications for contracts and projects.
  • Responsible for achieving short and long-term sales goals for assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute business plans and sales strategies for the assigned territory and customers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required. An Engineering degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years technical sales experience is required with a focus on new business development.
  • Must come from a manufactured product…Electronics, HVAC, Aerospace, Automotive, Military, Consumer Goods, etc.
  • Experience with coordinating the interplay between sales and engineering is important, together with the commercial aspects of managing a customer relationship.
  • Strong analytical skills with technical know-how.
  • Negotiation and contract management experience.
  • Excellent problem solving, & customer service skills.
