Immediate opening for an experienced Account Manager for the Midwest Sales Territory representing our four-plant preprint system. The system manufactures preprinted linerboard for both internal and third party customers.

The ideal candidate will live in Illinois, Wisconsin, or Minnesota currently and near a major airport working remotely supporting the Midwest (to also include Iowa and Missouri). The candidate must have graphic sales experience specifically in the corrugated industry. They will be selling preprinted linerboard.

The successful individual will function in an outside account management/sales capacity for the Upper Midwest Territory. This Territory is comprised of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. Key accountabilities include profitably growing the business with strategic accounts, implementing value propositions with key customers, exceeding financial goals and providing timely feedback on market, customer and competitive activity in the marketplace.

The Account Manager will work closely with the Preprint Sales Manager to determine strategic accounts, develop key account plans and execute these plans to generate profitable sales for the business. Expectations include the development of new accounts and growth of existing accounts by understanding the industry, the market, customer requirements and organizational capability. These efforts will result in superior solutions and services which differentiate International Paper in the marketplace.

In addition to the Preprint Sales Manager, a successful candidate will have a great deal of interaction with the International Paper converting facilities, customer service, manufacturing, design and product development.

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record and five or more years of graphic sales experience with knowledge of the corrugated packaging business.

A degree in business or a related field is required. Specific competencies required include sales expertise, drive for results, business acumen, leadership and costumer focus.
