Essential Job Duties:

  • Hands on responsibility for assigned facility/facilities. Conduct assessment (gap analysis) of workers’ compensation exposures; design and implement loss prevention, safety programs to prevent or reduce employee injury exposures and costs:  establish program in compliance with UHS Loss Control program guidelines and expectations.
  • Conduct comprehensive root cause analyses and monitor completion of corrective action plan. Communicates and provide timely trend analysis and defined action plans to address identified issues. 
  • Monitor claim management activities of TPA; makes recommendations to further mitigate claim expenses; monitors reserve adequacy for assigned facility claims.
  • Manage work comp performance program (costs allocated to facilities) for assigned facilities; timely and accurate management of performance program reports as well as Key Prevention Metrics.


Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years experiencerequired.

Excellent technical and analytical skills in general safety, and loss prevention.  Experience in Behavioral Health or healthcare environment preferred.

Must have ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management; ability to prioritize loss prevention service expectations to positively effective work comp expense; must possess excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills  in order to conduct accident trend analysis and appropriately develop action plans to address trends.

Possess a working knowledge of insurance accounting and work comp claims

Proficient in department RIMS; minimum basic function with Microsoft Office products (EXCEL WORD).
