POSITION SUMMARY: Leverages data and trend analysis to identify gaps and opportunities to improve safety in the workplace across multiple business unit types. Develops reports, white papers, and digital tools to drive awareness and build support for programs, projects and initiatives. Manages/oversees OSHA and other regulatory compliance across all business units and provides direct support for regulatory inquiries, inspections, and interactions. Protects the company brand through ensuring proper regulatory compliance. Project management activities include, but not limited to are, building best practices / processes, procedure manuals, reviewing and revising/updating content, creating project scope and communication/change management plans to ensure successful creation, delivery and utilization by end users, and delivering accurate and timeline analytics and reporting. Completes regular due diligence checks regarding safety and compliance topics. Supports internal accident investigations. Liaison with stakeholders to conduct on-site audits (e.g., risk management).
Develop and manage safety data, analytics and trend analysis to drive awareness and understanding of current safety status across the business units and identify gaps or areas of remediation.
Manage the enterprise safety reporting process.
Design, develop, and deploy safety programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organization.
Identify best practices to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices and safety performance
Oversee and enforce compliance with all OSHA, EPA and any other regulatory agency standards and manage OSHA reporting, communication, and archiving processes.
Support insurance and risk management engineering audits
Manage safety policies, written processes, and work activity materials.
Work with HR teams on the development and revisions of required training materials and monitoring of delivery results.
Conduct safety program audit (efficacy) and ensure remediation
Lead investigations, provide recommendations for corrective or preventative measures and ensure that accurate environmental and injury/illness records are maintained
Maintain current working knowledge of EHS regulations and laws to provide expertise for assessments, capital projects, work orders, etc.
Support processing of Workers’ Compensation claims and assist insurance claim adjusters as needed
Additional safety related activities/duties as required.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Risk
Management, Emergency Management or similar.
Experience: 3-5 of years’ experience in the EHS field
Experience Preferred: 2 years minimum in safety data and trend analysis
Certification Preferred: OSHA 30 Hour Course Preferred
Advanced Degree Preferred: Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, Workplace Safety or similar.
