Requires 3+ years of plant safety and environmental experience (80% safety and 20% environmental focus). The Plant EHS Engineer will continue to build and lead sustainable safety and environmental initiatives for a mid-size employee manufacturing facility. Reports into Regional EHS Manager.
The position will manage the day to day safety initiatives for the plant site. Develop, implement and maintain EH&S programs, perform audits of new and existing equipment/processes and provide training to support the ongoing efforts of implementing EHS Management Systems. Perform workplace assessments to identify hazardous conditions and develop corrective actions; ergonomic assessments. Strong computer skills and understanding of managing metrics (Excel and related Microsoft programs) with an understanding of continuous improvement.
