Must have 5+ years of industrial safety and environmental experience within manufacturing operations (food or consumer products experience preferred but not required) and a Bachelor's degree in safety or other technical Bachelor of Science degree. This position will direct the EHS efforts for a non-union manufacturing plant, manage a (1-2) person EHS Department and the role will report directly into the Plant Manager with a strong dotted line to the Corporate EHS Manager. Responsible for developing, improving and sustaining the site EHS programs (emphasis on safety and health) including procedures, training initiatives along with general environmental compliance. Create and implement systems and procedures that support safe work practices for the Plant Associates and track/follow up on corrective actions related to the safety program. Well-rounded safety and occupational health professional with expertise in areas of continuous improvement, training, ergonomics, EHS management systems, injury reduction initiatives along with an excellent communication style and strong relationship building skills.
