Responsibilities

  • Operate aircraft for LFN to facilitate care of critically ill or injured patients
  • Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and plan flights accordingly
  • Assist in loading passengers, baggage, and cargo
  • Analyze weather conditions for safe flying
  • Maintain logs and records as required, preparing written reports
  • Operate aircraft tug, tractor, and ground handling equipment
  • Drive personal or company vehicles as necessary for business needs

  • Starting Pay Range $108,959.76 - $128,724.96 with an annual increase
  • 7/7 schedule
  • Off Duty Crew quarters
  • Relocation assistance of $2500-$10,000 depending on distance of your move

  • Aircraft is an EC135P2+
  • Newport is located on the central Oregon coast and is known for beautiful scenery and attractions. It is an easy commute from the Willamette Valley. This area offers a plethora of outdoor adventures, including hiking, fishing, camping, lakes, rivers, and of course, the majestic pacific ocean!

The Rotor Wing Pilot is responsible for professionally and safely operating aircraft for LFN to facilitate care of critically ill and/or injured patients. The Rotor Wing Pilot will possess strong aviation skills, a keen sense of safety, superior customer service skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups, sometimes in highly stressful situations. The Rotor Wing Pilot will be required to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Will be required to drive personal or company vehicles whenever and wherever business needs necessitate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 years' experience as a professional pilot preferred
  • 2000 hours Total Time required
  • 1500 hours as Pilot in Command
  • 1000 hours R/W Turbine time required
  • 100 hours instrument time preferred
  • 75 Instrument hours total - with at least 50 hours in aircraft instrument time required
  • 100 hours of unaided nighttime required
  • Pilots with air medical transportation experience preferred
  • Pilots with NVG experience preferred
  • Mountain experience preferred. Experience evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must hold a FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating
  • Must have and maintain a FAA second class flight physical
  • Performs pre- and post-flight inspections. Plans flights, assists in loading of passengers, baggage and cargo, and analyzes weather conditions.
  • Maintains logs and records, as required, and prepares written reports
  • Operates aircraft tug, tractor, and/or ground handling equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent grammar; verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN's service area is required
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an automobile in good repair, be able to provide proof of auto insurance, meet LFN's Driver's Policy requirements and able to travel whenever or wherever business needs necessitate
